Dido van de Velde

Dido Van de Velde is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in the fields of immunology, pharmacology, and oncology. Currently serving as a Scientist at Flamingo Therapeutics since June 2024, Dido previously worked at Dualyx from October 2023 to May 2024, focusing on immunology and pharmacology. Dido's earlier tenure at Aelin Therapeutics spanned from October 2018 to July 2023, where roles included Senior Associate Scientist and Associate Scientist in oncology. Prior experience also includes a Master Thesis position at CMPG Laboratory for Genetics and Genomics, researching the mutagenic effects of ethanol in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and a research internship at InSphero, where the focus was on assay optimization using 3D microtissue models. Dido completed a Master's degree in Bio engineering with a concentration in Cell and Gene Technology at KU Leuven, along with a Bachelor's degree from the same institution, and studies at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. Additionally, Dido contributed to organizing events for international students during the Master's program at KU Leuven.
