Walter Verdonck

Walter Verdonck is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and project leadership, currently serving as a Senior Project Leader at Flanders Make since July 2024. Previously, Walter held the position of Technical Product Lead for Electric Powertrain at Punch Powertrain from January 2014 to June 2024, where responsibilities included coaching a cross-disciplinary team and managing the development of hybrid and full electric powertrains. Walter's previous roles also encompass Project Leader at Flanders Mechatronics Technology Centre, R&D Engineer at Metris, and Research Assistant during a PhD program at KU Leuven, focused on human-machine interaction. Walter Verdonck holds a PhD in Engineering and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven, as well as a postgraduate degree in Business Economics.
