Rainer Wilcken

Rainer Wilcken is a highly experienced professional in the field of computational chemistry and drug design, currently serving as the Director of Computational Chemistry at Flare Therapeutics since July 2023. Previously, Rainer worked at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from May 2013 to July 2023, holding roles including Senior Principal Scientist, Investigator III, and Investigator II, contributing significantly to preclinical drug discovery projects in oncology through expertise in computer-aided drug design (CADD). Rainer's academic background includes a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Tübingen and experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Medical Research Council.
