Payton Cosell Turner

Payton Cosell Turner is a skilled creative professional with extensive experience in design and illustration. As the Owner and Head Creative of Flat Vernacular since June 2010, Payton has co-founded a pattern-based design studio specializing in original wallpapers and fabrics. Concurrently, since 2015, Payton serves as Co-founder and Editor of Girls at Library, an online resource for women who read. Additionally, in May 2014, Payton established the Department of Decoration, focusing on unique home design objects. Freelance work as an Illustrator and Designer encompasses interiors, illustrations, and stationery for private clients. Earlier experience includes a position as Junior Designer at Homepolish. Payton holds a BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art, earned between 2004 and 2008.
