Melyssa Minto

Melyssa Minto, PhD, is an experienced statistical programmer currently employed at Flatiron Health since October 2025. Prior to this role, Melyssa worked at RTI International from October 2022 to October 2025 as a bioinformatic scientist, where significant contributions included working with diverse omics data and applying machine learning models for genomic variant analysis. Melyssa's academic background includes a PhD in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Duke University, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Biology from Meredith College. Earlier experiences range from project management at Duke University to research internships at ScitoVation and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, demonstrating a strong foundation in computational techniques and bioinformatics applications across various research settings.
