Ben Altman, DMA, is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in guitar performance and instruction. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Certification instructor at Flatiron School, Ben specializes in full-stack software engineering, including front-end and back-end technologies. As the Principal of Altman Music Instruction since 2001, Ben engages in solo performances and chamber music, collaborating with various orchestras and ensembles while providing personalized instruction for a diverse range of students. Previous teaching roles include positions at The Potomac School, International School of Music, and Arlington Public Schools. Ben holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music and has furthered education at several prestigious institutions, including The Peabody Institute and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
