Kannan Soundararajan

Kannan Soundararajan is the Senior Director of the Oil and Gas division for FLEET. He leads the technical teams responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective ship management operation of the oil and gas fleet.

Kannan joined FLEET in 2001 and has played a pivotal role in growing the oil tanker fleet, and the digital transformation journey. His proudest moments, however, come from the many opportunities he has had to grow and develop talent within the organisation.

Prior to joining FLEET, he served as a Classification Surveyor for the Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass). His sea-going experience spans more than a decade, in which he sailed on a wide range of vessels, including bulk carriers, containers, crude product tankers and chemical carriers.

Kannan holds a degree in Marine Engineering from Marine Engineering and Training Institute (MERI) and completed an Executive Programme in Management at Columbia University.
