About our India Operations

Since 2007, the team has continued to craft and execute integrated campaigns for global and local brands and corporates across industries, including FMCG, healthcare, technology, financial services, automobile, travel, and more.

Essentials – the MD will:

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop a strategic plan and vision for the office that serves as a blueprint for all areas of growth and management, including business development, recruiting and staffing, and investment in resources and marketing activities. In addition, the MD will work closely with this team to develop and manage budgets for the office, address client challenges, build strong teams, and plan major investments and purchases.
  • Lead a group of talented professionals across India to stoke profitable growth, inspire successful new-business efforts, and motivate collaboration across teams within the region, globally, and across the wider Omnicom agency network.
  • Understand the dynamics and the people within the India operations. Guide and coach to foster collaboration across brands in a respectful manner.
  • Continue to build our reputation among key stakeholders including potential clients and talent, media, current clients, etc. Inspire all stakeholders by setting an example of successful strategic consultation.
  • Promote operational excellence with innovative administrative processes through close collaboration with the India head of finance, talent development. Adopt best practices from the regional and global heads of the operations, finance, and human resources leaders.
  • Foster a culture of mutual learning and sharing best practices and knowledge across all teams including supporting groups such as finance, accounting, and talent development.
  • Take a hands-on role in serving clients and managing/contributing to client work at multiple levels of engagement. The MD will have an executive presence and inspire the confidence of current and future clients across a multitude of disciplines. They will continue to build on the agency’s collaborative culture of sharing business and bringing the best resources to bear on a client’s behalf.
  • Partner with the talent development team to maintain a successful recruitment strategy for identifying top talent who fit our strategic growth plans. They will work on evolving the types of talent the office hires as the core capabilities continue to expand. Once the candidates are on board, the MD will partner with Talent Development and senior office leadership to establish succession plans and career paths that offer employees opportunities to grow and stay fully engaged.
  • Set an example for success in the office by discussing and practicing our guiding principles. Establish a regular cadence of effective internal communication across the office keeping employees updated on key developments locally and across the network. Reinforce FleishmanHillard’s core values creating a culture of teamwork, commitment to excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Create a work environment that engenders trust, promotes transparency, and encourages individual growth, risk-taking, experimentation, and innovation.
  • Lead the strategic planning process for the office and create a model for delivering a wide range of integrated services that meet our clients’ needs. They will balance current needs with emerging trends and will identify and promote capabilities that are models of best practice within FleishmanHillard and the industry.
  • Demonstrate that diversity and high ethical standards are key characteristics for maintaining a high-performance culture. The MD will lead by example with a strong emphasis on treating clients, employees, and all stakeholders in a respectful and honest manner.

Core Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience in an agency, consulting firm or adjacent environment leading people and clients. Strong business and operational acumen is required for this role.
  • Proven ability to attract and grow clients in various disciplines and practice sectors
  • Ability to attract, develop, coach, inspire and motivate a group of diversely talented professionals to create both rewarding individual career paths and high-performing, collaborative teams.
  • A drive for success and consistent excellence in new-business pursuits, professional awards competitions and serving our clients at the highest possible level.
  • Have a successful track record in serving great global brands. The MD will have an appreciation for and understanding of our core disciplines: brand marketing, corporate communications, public affairs, creative, content development, social/digital, and research and analytics.
  • Show a track record of establishing and addressing priorities in a constantly moving environment.. We are looking for a self-starter, as well as a flexible and decisive manager who can adapt to changing situations, make decisions, communicate clearly, and promote confidence and trust – even in the midst of multiple distractions and time demands.
  • Possess strong communication skills. He or she must be a skillful writer and a persuasive presenter who speaks effectively in a broad range of situations, including one-on-one conversations, new-business pitches, internal meetings, and community forums.
  • Have a sense of humor and understand the importance of balance, fun, and flexibility at work. They will display a genuine passion for the job, the team, and our team’s work.
