Alexander Furtmann is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in procurement and product technology. At Flender, from June 2020 to present, Furtmann has served as a Global Commodity Engineer focusing on bearings and currently holds the position of Group Commodity Engineer for Standard Parts. Prior to this, Furtmann worked as a research engineer at IMKT Institut für Maschinenkonstruktion und Tribologie, Leibniz Universität Hannover, where the research focused on bearing currents in drive systems and lubrication film measurement. Furtmann holds a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics from Westfälische Hochschule.
