Shelby Woodyear-Smith

Shelby Woodyear-Smith currently serves as the Head of Employment Relations at Fletcher Construction, a position held since July 2025. Previously, Shelby was employed at Fletcher Building from January 2019 to July 2025, where roles included Employment Relations Manager and Employment Relations Specialist, functioning as an in-house employment lawyer. Shelby's career also includes significant experience at Employsure New Zealand as Advice Services Team Leader and Employment Relations Adviser, in addition to a Human Resources role at EnviroWaste NZ Ltd and positions with the Ministry of Justice - New Zealand. Educationally, Shelby holds a Master of Management in Human Resource Management and a Graduate Certificate in Arts (Philosophy) from Massey University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws with a double major in Law and Strategic Management from The University of Waikato and Professional Studies in Law from The College of Law Australia.
