Kristine Strickland

Kristine Strickland has extensive experience in the education sector, with a focus on community and technical colleges. Kristine began their career at Ohio University as an Assistant Residence Hall Director in 1991. Kristine then moved to Tulane University as a Residence Hall Director from 1993 to 1996.

In 1996, Strickland joined Our Lady of Holy Cross College as the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Development. Kristine was responsible for the growth of the institution and supervised admissions, financial aid, and student activities until 2009.

Kristine then joined Fletcher Technical Community College as the Dean of Student Affairs, where they supervised various departments related to admissions, financial aid, academic advising, and student life. Kristine held this position from 2009 to 2011.

From 2011 to 2013, Strickland served as the Vice President for Student Services and Student Financial Assistance at the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.

After that, they joined Delgado Community College as the Executive Dean of the West Bank Campus, where they oversaw the campus serving over 3000 students and handled the administration of financial aid for all campuses. Kristine held this position from 2013 to 2015.

Currently, Strickland is the Chancellor of Fletcher Technical Community College, a position they have held since 2016.

Kristine Strickland earned a Ph.D. in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a M.Ed. in Higher Education - College Student Personnel Administration from Ohio University, attending from 1991 to 1993. Their educational journey began with a B.S. in Secondary Education English from Ohio University, where they were enrolled from 1988 to 1991.
