Alasdair Young

Alasdair Young is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend architecture, full-stack development, and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Flex since August 2024, Alasdair leads a project for real-time credit card transaction processing in a fintech startup. Previously, Alasdair held a similar position at Stripe from May 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included leading technical projects and managing a team of engineers. Alasdair's career spans notable positions at Facebook, Niantic, Groupon, Expeditors International, Vigilos, BioMedCentral, and Assistec, contributing to a range of high-impact projects within the technology sector. Alasdair holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from the UW Foster School of Business and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde.
