Commercial Contracts Lawyer / Paralegal at Flex Legal

Iqra Ali has a diverse work experience spanning various legal and educational roles. Iqra started their career in 2016 as an English and Maths Tutor at Tutorful. In 2018, they worked as a Paralegal at Blackfriars Chambers, where they reviewed immigration documents and conducted case analyses.

In 2020, Iqra founded Legal Diversity, a non-profit organization aiming to promote diversity and help students enter the legal industry. Iqra also worked as a Legal Content Writer at Law Simplified during the same period.

From 2021 to 2022, Iqra held multiple roles at Flex Legal. Iqra worked as a Commercial Contracts Lawyer/Paralegal, focusing on contract review and management for clients such as City & Guilds and Tata Consultancy Services. Iqra also had a short-term placement at MDRxTECH, where they worked on paraphrasing the SRA Code of Conduct using technology.

In addition, Iqra worked as a Paralegal at IPG DXTRA from 2021 to 2021. Iqra dealt with various legal tasks, contributing to the overall operations of the organization.

From 2021 to 2022, Iqra served as the Marketing Lead at shift(), the UK's first legal tech bootcamp. In this role, they managed a marketing team and focused on business development to generate traffic for the bootcamp's programs.

Most recently, Iqra joined Elementis Global in 2022 as a Global Paralegal. Iqra is part of the London team and collaborates with colleagues from the US, Europe, and Asia on international legal matters.

Additionally, Iqra participated in the STRIVE mentoring scheme in 2020, which provides support and guidance to aspiring lawyers in securing training contracts.

Iqra Ali started their education in 2007 at Connaught School for Girls, where they completed their GCSEs. From 2012 to 2014, they attended Sir George Monoux College, where they pursued A-levels in Economics, English, Law, and Mathematics. In 2015, they enrolled at the University of Exeter to study Law and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2018. In 2019, they joined The University of Law, where they completed the LPC LLM program in 2020, focusing on Law.
