Brook Jenkins has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. They started their career as a VP Memberships at HDI - Kentuckiana Support Forum Local chapter in 2008. Following this, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Sullivan University, teaching various IT courses. In 2007, they joined Papa Johns as a Senior Manager of Technology Operations, where they led an IT team responsible for server infrastructure, help desk support, and security administration. They then moved on to Trilogy Health Services, LLC, where they served as the Director of Information Technology, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure and applications for senior living campuses. At Bellarmine University, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty, teaching at the IT Academy.
In 2011, Brook joined Dell Services as a Desktop Support Manager at Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's Health Systems. They managed a team providing support for 6000+ devices and 10,000+ users. At QSR Automations, they held two roles, first as a Help Desk Manager, providing support for QSR Kitchen software and hardware worldwide, and then as a Manager of Professional Services, leading multiple professional teams.
From 2013 to 2017, Brook worked at Louisville MSD in various roles, including IT Project Manager and Technical Operations Manager. They managed teams responsible for Windows server administration, network engineering, and database administration. Most recently, Brook worked at Flexential, first as a Senior Customer Success Manager and then as an Account Executive. In these roles, they helped customers leverage technology solutions to meet their business needs and ensured their success in using Flexential's services.
Additionally, Brook served as the Director of Education at the Kentuckiana Project Management Institute, working to address the needs of volunteers and members of the chapter.
Throughout their career, Brook has demonstrated expertise in project management, IT infrastructure management, customer support, and team leadership.
Brook Jenkins obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Technology (Parks and Recreation Systems) from Indiana University Bloomington, which they completed between 1981 and 1983. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Environmental Education and Outdoor Recreation from the University of Michigan, from 1977 to 1981.
In addition to their formal education, Brook has also obtained several certifications. Brook completed "The Top 10 Project Management Mistakes—and How to Avoid Them" course through LinkedIn in April 2020 and received a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from IUPUC in March 2020. Brook also became a SCRUM Master through Scrum Alliance in October 2017 and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute since June 2013. Lastly, they have an ITIL V3 Foundations certification, although the institution and date of completion are not specified.
