Jason Carolan

Jason Carolan is the Chief Innovation Officer at Flexential. Prior to this, they were the Director of Cloud Services Engineering (vCloud/vCAF) at VMware from May 2010 to May 2011. In this role, they managed a team of architects, engineers and marketing specialists responsible for key APIs with vCloud and additional features that keep VMware in the cloud leader position, improving scale and applicability to service provider customers. Jason also authored the implementation of NFV solutions for SP customers, utilizing VxLAN.

Before joining VMware, Jason worked at Sun Microsystems Inc. from April 1999 to May 2010, where they held various positions including Distinguished Engineer, Technical Director, Field CTO and Principal Architect. Prior to that, they were IT Manager at Novazen from May 1996 to April 1999 and Systems Analyst / Lead - Unix / NMS / Remedy / NOC Help Desk Manager at Mayo Foundation - Mayo Clinic from January 1993 to April 1996.

Jason Carolan's educational career includes receiving a certification from Imason in Master iMason, a certification from some in Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner Credential (ACPM), a certification from IEEE in Member IEEE, and a certification from ViaWest in Diversity and Inclusion / Bias Awareness - 2017.
