Brian Shannon

Brian Shannon is the current Chief Technical Officer at Flexera. Brian has held this position since September of 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Platform Engineering for ServiceNow from September 2017 to September 2021. In this role, they led a team of 400+ global platform engineers and successfully executed on multiple strategic initiatives. Brian also proposed and successfully implemented a revenue-generating product line that grew from $40 million to $600 million over the course of three years.

Before their time at ServiceNow, Shannon was the Vice President of Engineering and General Manager at GE Healthcare from November 2010 to September 2017. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of engineers and delivering on engineering objectives. Brian also oversaw the budget and managed projects throughout their lifecycle.

Shannon began their career as the Director of Software Development at HERAE in March 2009. Brian held this position until November 2010 when they transitioned to API Healthcare as the Vice President of Engineering. Brian held this role until March 2012 when they transitioned to GE Healthcare.

Brian Shannon has a professional certificate in leadership and management from UC San Diego. Brian also has a Bachelor of Science in computer science from UC San Diego. Brian is also certified by Sun Microsystems as a Java Certified Programmer.
