Prathamesh Prem Sankar

Prathamesh Prem Sankar has a diverse background in robotics and engineering, with experience in various companies and internships. Prathamesh is currently working as a Robotics Applications Engineer at Flexiv Ltd. since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Procter & Gamble as a Robotics & Innovations Engineer from July 2020 to May 2022.

In 2019, Prathamesh held two internships. Prathamesh worked as a Robotics Automation Intern at Raytheon, where they completed projects such as the Flexible dispense project and designing a fixture for mounting the UR5 onto the MiR AGV. Prathamesh also documented the process for licensing the FactoryTalk Manager and learned about Ignition software.

During the same year, they also worked as a Major Qualifying Project (MQP) at MilliporeSigma. Prathamesh was part of a team of three students working on packaging automation for medical-grade filters. Their responsibilities included manufacturing, wiring, programming of tray system, and in-depth design and risk analysis of prototypes.

In 2018, Prathamesh was a Robotics Automation Intern at Raytheon, where they focused on automating the assembly of radar detection cells for the US Navy's AMDR system. Prathamesh utilized Labview and Allen Bradley PLC Ladder Logic programming to ensure smooth communication between robots and machines.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a VP of Engineering at Team 3482 Westmont Robotics from 2013 to 2017. Prathamesh contributed to the team's success in the Silicon Valley competition and played a role in training new members.

In 2016, Prathamesh had the opportunity to work as a Robotics Work Experience Intern at NVIDIA. During this internship, they worked on a humanoid programmed with Raspberry Pi and Jetson TX1 chips. Prathamesh also helped create the internship program at NVIDIA.

In 2014, they had a summer internship at Knightscope, where they gained insights into real-world robotics and learned about the workings of KnightScope's K5 autonomous data machine.

Prathamesh Prem Sankar completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Robotics Technology/Technician from Worcester Polytechnic Institute between 2017 and 2020. Prior to that, they attended Westmont High School from 2013 to 2017, where they focused on Robotics and EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science).
