Kurt Harris

Kurt Harris, PhD, is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Flibe Energy, a position held since 2018. Previously, Kurt served as a NEUP and Presidential Doctoral Research Fellow at Utah State University from 2010 to 2017, where involvement also included roles as an Undergraduate Researcher. Kurt's experience extends to various fellowships and internships, including a Center for Space Nuclear Research Fellow at USRA in 2015, a National Science Foundation International Research Fellow at the International Center for Materials Research in 2014, and a SIP Graduate Professional at Sandia National Laboratories in 2012. Additional experience includes an internship as an Extractions Process Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company in 2011 and a research internship at Idaho National Laboratory in 2010. Kurt holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University.
