Adam Henley

Adam Henley has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Adam began their career at BT Exact as an OSS Developer, working on Unix security compliance and developing Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures. Adam then worked at Calculus Software Solutions Ltd., where they served as a Data Import Engineer and later as a 2nd Line Support/Support Team Leader, managing and supporting a team of first line support staff.

In 2007, Adam joined Linedata Services as an Analyst Programmer 1 before starting their own company, North Star Consulting Ltd., where they served as the Owner / Senior Analyst Programmer for ten years. During this time, they gained valuable experience and expertise as a consultant and senior developer in web development using PHP and JavaScript.

Adam's experience also includes working at UpShift Limited as a Senior Developer, where they provided web development and trained individuals on the use of Git and Github for source-control. Adam then joined Silvereye Labs as a Senior Developer, focusing on developing the WellChild App for the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board.

In 2019, Adam joined Shuttlerock as a Software Developer, working on the development and delivery of an online ordering/sales-enablement platform. Currently, they are working at Flick Electric Co., first as a Senior Software Developer and now as the Lead Developer (People Lead). Adam is responsible for a subset of services within the company, including data ingestion, rating customer power usage, and managing billing, invoicing, and payments.

Throughout their career, Adam has demonstrated strong technical skills and the ability to work within teams to solve complex challenges.

Adam Henley attended the University of Plymouth from 2000 to 2005, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Informatics. Prior to that, they studied at the Judd School from 1993 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Adam Henley obtained a certification in the LifeKeepers Suicide Prevention Training Programme from Lifekeepers, Inc. in October 2023.
