Deborah West

Deborah West is a highly experienced academic leader currently serving as Vice President and Executive Dean at Flinders University since July 2017, where additional roles have included Interim Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students) and Pro Vice Chancellor for Learning and Teaching Innovation. Prior to this, Deborah held notable positions at Charles Darwin University from 2005 to June 2017, including Professor and Director of the Office of Learning and Teaching, as well as Associate Professor of Social Work. Earlier in the career, Deborah was a Lecturer at Australian National University from March 2002 to November 2005. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from the University of Toronto, a Master of Social Work, and a Doctor of Philosophy, both obtained from Flinders University, along with training from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
