Andrew Sims

Andrew Sims is a Senior Software Development Engineer at Flip since August 2025, and has held significant roles in software engineering primarily focused on distributed systems and identity management. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Culture Amp, where Andrew contributed to the Permissions and Login team, and as a Software Engineer at Zendesk, where a major achievement was the development of an event transport system. Andrew also has experience at Weploy, National Australia Bank, and various academic institutions, including a postdoctoral fellowship at Université catholique de Louvain. Andrew holds a PhD in Philosophy from Deakin University and a Diploma of IT from Coder Academy.
