Abhijit Poonja

Abhijit Poonja serves as the Director of Regulatory Legal and previously held the position of Director of Tech Privacy and IP Legal at Flipkart since April 2022, focusing on compliance with complex regulatory frameworks and intellectual property law. Prior to joining Flipkart, Abhijit was a Senior Corporate Counsel at Cisco, managing legal matters for the Service Provider business in India and SAARC regions from August 2017 to April 2022. Abhijit also held the role of General Counsel at EdgeVerve from July 2014 to August 2017 and was involved in legal counsel at Infosys from August 2009 to July 2014, including leading global contracts for a specific business unit and negotiating deals across regions. Abhijit's career began at Trilegal as an Associate focusing on employment law and corporate law matters. Abhijit holds a BA.L.L.B degree from Bangalore University and completed schooling at Bishop Cotton Boys' School.
