Pete Burns has a long and varied work experience. Pete began in 1979 as a Broker at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. In 1985, they moved to Cerny-American Creative as a Writer Performer. From 1990 to 1998, they worked at The Second City as an Actor, Writer, and Director. In 1998, they transitioned to Nickelodeon as a Writer and Story Editor for "SpongeBob SquarePants". In 2000, they became Creative Director at Williams/Gerard Productions. From 2001 to 2008, they were Creative Director, Writer, and Actor at Cloud Boy. In 2003, they developed for the National Geographic Channel's "Iggy Arbuckle Nature Freak". In 2005, they developed for PBS/Moe Greene Productions' "Nate The Great". Finally, from 2008 to present, they have been Creative Director at FLIRT Communications, LLC.

Pete Burns attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they studied Physics & Geography. Pete then went on to the University of Illinois Chicago, where they earned a B.A. in Pete'story & Film.
