Dr. Thorsten Niklas

Dr. Thorsten Niklas is an accomplished professional currently serving as Geschäftsführer/CEO and Director of Operations at FLOCERT since January 2024. Previously, Dr. Niklas held the position of Director of Strategic Business Development at CSA Group from April 2023 to September 2023 and served as General Manager of Business Development Digitalization and Managing Director at TÜV Rheinland Group from January 2018 to March 2023. Experience also includes managing director roles at UL for Performance Materials in Europe and Latin America and as Sales Director EMEA/DACH at LANXESS. Dr. Niklas contributed to Bayer as Vice President of Consumer and Industrial Solutions and held various roles in development and marketing. Academic credentials include a PhD in polymer chemistry from The Philipp University of Marburg and a graduate degree in Chemistry, along with additional studies at the University of Kent.
