Juan Sebastian Ossa Moreno

Juan Sebastian Ossa Moreno is a highly experienced Senior Flood Engineer and Data Scientist at FloodMapp since October 2022, where expertise in flood engineering and data science contributes to the development of tools for real-time flood monitoring and water level forecasting in Australia and the US. As a co-founder and Director at RED INNCOL since January 2017, Juan has played a pivotal role in aiding approximately 1,000 students across Colombia to access educational tools. Prior experience includes serving as the Qld Team Lead and Senior Water Resources Engineer at Advisian, where Juan supported diverse clients in managing water-related risks across multiple regions. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from The University of Queensland, a Master's from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes.
