Gemma Haynes

Gemma Haynes has several years of experience in the field of audit, risk, and business continuity. Gemma worked at Upfield as the Head of Audit, Risk and Business Continuity starting in May 2021, and previously held the position of Deputy Chief Auditor from February 2019. Prior to their role at Upfield, Gemma worked at PwC UK for over a decade. Gemma started as a Senior Associate in September 2006 and progressed to become a Manager, then Senior Manager, and finally a Director. During their time at PwC, Gemma primarily focused on internal audit engagements, managing and coordinating large co-source and outsource projects across various industries, with a particular interest in retail. Gemma also had a year-long client secondment at a large FTSE 100 retailer, assisting them in developing a controls self-assessment.

Gemma Haynes completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton in 2005. Prior to that, they attended Archbishop Tenisons School where they completed their GCSE and A Level education from 1995 to 2002. After their undergraduate degree, they pursued further professional qualifications and obtained the ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) from ICAEW in 2009.
