Florasis is a cosmetics brand that explores wisdom in traditional beauty recipes, draws inspirations from Chinese arts and culture, and adopts modern technology to create natural nourishing, healthy and unique makeup products. Florasis was born in 2017 by the West Lake in Hangzhou, China. The brand founder, an enthusiast of flowers, herbs and traditional culture, wanted to create a cosmetic brand that inherits Chinese traditional arts and culture, with makeup products as the carrier of stories and inspirations of Eastern beauty. After working in the beauty industry for years, the founding team was inspired by the long-standing Chinese beauty culture after researching on historical documents and books - as early as thousands of years ago, Chinese people used various natural ingredients including flowers and herbs to decorate their faces in traditional formulas. Connecting the ancient and the modern, the team adopts innovative technology to rejuvenate traditional beauty formulas, and brings modern take on beauty traditions and aesthetics.
