Florence Crittenton
Candice Kennedy is a dedicated mental health professional with significant experience in counseling and support services. Currently serving as a School Counselor at the Department of Mental Health since February 2016, Candice also works as a Resident Ally at Florence Crittenton, providing support to pregnant teens in a group home setting since April 2015. Previously, Candice held the position of Counselor at Justice Works Youth Care from May 2014 to January 2016, where responsibilities included case management and client assessments. Candice holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, awarded in 2011, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of South Carolina-Columbia, completed in 2006.

The mission of Florence Crittenton is to give every girl whose life we touch safety, hope and opportunity. Founded in 1986, Florence Crittenton continues to hold true to its mission of providing residential, education and community-based programs to nearly 1,000 girls and young women each year. The agency offers a comprehensive continuum of care designed to help at-risk girls from 10 to 21 overcome issues of abuse, neglect, teen pregnancy, teen parenting, and behavioral and/or mental health problems.
