Jack van der Vorst

Jack van der Vorst serves as the Managing Director of the Social Sciences Group at Wageningen University & Research since April 1994, dedicated to exploring the potential of nature to enhance quality of life. With a robust academic background, including a Ph.D. in AgriFood Supply Chain Logistics and a Master's in Agricultural Systems Science from Wageningen University & Research, Jack has held various roles within the institution, including Professor and Chair of the Operations Research & Logistics Group. Additionally, Jack contributes as a board member to several organizations, including The Sustainability Consortium and the Cocoa Horizons Foundation, and has been involved in key initiatives within the Topsector Agri & Food. With extensive experience in management consulting and program direction, Jack's work spans academia and industry, focusing on sustainable practices in agricultural sectors.
