Jessica Stanush

Jessica Stanush has extensive experience in the field of education and human resources. Jessica has held various roles in different school districts throughout their career.

Their most recent position was as the Director of Human Resources at Floresville ISD, where they were the sole HR Administrator for a large school district with 540 employees and approximately 4,000 students. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating and implementing all district HR programs, including benefits, onboarding, recruiting, salary administration, and Title IX. Jessica achieved significant cost savings for employees by redesigning the benefits package and negotiating a new contract.

Prior to that, Jessica worked as a Talent Partner in the Recruitment and Talent Management Department at San Antonio ISD. In this role, they worked closely with principals and district leadership to recruit, select, and retain high-quality educators.

Jessica also served as the Coordinator of Human Capital Management at Dallas Independent School District, where they played a key role in managing the human resources department.

Jessica has held various other positions earlier in their career, including District Curriculum Coordinator at Southside ISD, Principal at Somerset ISD, Assistant Principal at Somerset ISD, Mathematics Specialist at Somerset ISD, and Lead Teacher at Southside ISD.

Jessica Stanush completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Texas A&M University from 1998 to 2002. Jessica then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) with a concentration in Education Leadership at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2004 to 2006. Prior to their university education, Jessica attended Pleasanton High School from 1994 to 1998. Currently, Jessica is a Doctoral Candidate in Ed.D. Educational Administration at The University of Texas at San Antonio, starting in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Jessica has obtained certifications in EC-4 Generalist, Principal, and Superintendent from the Texas Education Agency.
