Floret Flower Farm

Founded by Erin Benzakein in 2008, Floret is a family-run flower farm and seed company, specializing in breeding new cut flower varieties for gardeners, farmers, and designers. Our thriving research and education farm is dedicated to giving flower lovers the tools and information they need to grow the gardens of their dreams. Set in Washington’s beautiful Skagit Valley, our fields are bursting with flowers that reflect the season. Research is at the heart of our operation, and we conduct extensive trials to find the very best cut flower varieties, coveted for their scent, stem length, and ethereal qualities, and share our findings with the world. Our new cut flower varieties (which we lovingly call Floret Originals) were created to help give local growers an advantage in the marketplace and open up a whole new world of possibilities for the seasonal flower movement. The Floret Shop features these farm-bred flower seeds, as well as specialty tools, supplies, and gifts. After teaching wildly popular on-farm workshops for years, Erin created the Floret Online Workshop, which is offered each fall and has trained thousands of flower growers from nearly 50 countries on how to grow flowers on a small scale. Floret also offers many free resources on our website to help people have success growing flowers, including a digital library with profiles of 1,500+ unique cut flower varieties. Erin has also written three books, award-winning Cut Flower Garden, New York Times Best Seller A Year in Flowers, and Discovering Dahlias. You can watch Growing Floret, an Emmy-nominated documentary series about Erin, her husband Chris, and the farm, on Max, discovery+, Prime Video, and the Magnolia Network. A second season premiered in 2023. During filming, both Erin and Chris fell in love with the storytelling process, and the pair have now started a new filmmaking endeavor to tell inspiring stories through video, focused on the beauty of how people interact with the natural world.
