Associate Director at Florida Building Material Association

Brian Wagner is the Associate Director at Florida Building Material Association. Brian was previously the Digital Strategy and Creative Lead for University of Michigan Athletics from July 2015 to February 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading the strategic vision and implementation of Michigan Athletics digital initiatives in social media and digital microsites. Brian advised and directed the operation of all department social initiatives for 31 individual sport programs in addition to department accounts and worked collaboratively with key University social media contacts as well as conference and national influencers to maximize impact, engagement and synergy among the many platforms.

Brian directed the implementation of branding principles across all digital platforms, including graphic design execution and the direction of creative elements through existing channels. Brian also directed social media training sessions for all student-athletes, coaches and administrative department personnel. Lastly, they conducted skillful data analysis within the confines of social media to draw actionable conclusions and operational efficiencies; they researched and evaluated user trends, user experiences and emerging digital tactics to ensure Michigan Athletics stayed at the forefront of the consumer digital space in college athletics in both design and usage.

Brian Wagner has a BA in Public Relations from the University of Southern California.
