Yi-Chieh Wu Newton

Yi-Chieh Wu Newton, Ph.D., serves as an Associate in Research at the Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR) since September 2013, building upon earlier experience as an Assistant in Research and Graduate Research Assistant at FCRR from January 2011 to July 2013. Prior roles include Senior Consultant of the Positive Behavior Support Team at the Taipei City East Special Education Resource Center and Educational Diagnostician Consultant for the Taipei City Government. Additionally, experience as Chief Teacher of the Resource Classroom and Special Education Teacher at Taipei Municipal Beitou Junior High School spans from August 1998 to July 2008. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Reading Education and Language Art from Florida State University, and both a Master of Education and Bachelor of Education in Special Education from National Taiwan Normal University.
