Marina Acevedo, M.S. is an experienced administrative professional with a robust background in leadership training, data analysis, and educational program management. Currently serving as an Administrative Assistant at the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists since May 2017, Marina specializes in developing state-wide leadership initiatives and enhancing volunteer onboarding processes. Previous roles include Office Manager and Registrar at REACH Columbia Union Urban Evangelism School, where responsibilities encompassed student registration and event coordination, and a Teachers Aide at Simplicity Christian Academy, focusing on Math and Science instruction. Marina has also held positions as Youth Director at SimpliCity Outreach, participating in community outreach and event planning. An academic foundation in Environmental Engineering includes a Master of Science from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science from Florida International University.

Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists® is an unincorporated, nonprofit organization which serves as the administrative body for its sisterhood of churches with emphasis on evangelism, nurturing constituents, and operating a system of schools. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream, protestant, Bible-believing denomination with more than 17 million believers worldwide. The Florida Conference regional corporate headquarters provides resources to its members, church congregations, and the general public. The territory of Florida Conference, organized in 1893, includes the entire state except Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington counties which belong to Gulf States Conference. As of March 2017, more than 64,000 Adventists are Florida Conference members at 208 churches, 57 companies, and least 32 mission groups.
