Elio A. Jimenez

Elio A. Jimenez has extensive experience in the field of research and development, particularly in the agricultural sciences. Elio A. started their career as a Research Scientist at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Universidad Central de Las Villas in 1988. In 1992, they became a Senior Research Scientist and Professor at the Institute of Plant Biotechnology, also at the Universidad Central de Las Villas, where they worked until 2012. Jimenez then joined the University of Florida as an Adjunct Research Assistant Professor from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they began working at Florida Crystals, initially as a Principal Scientist until 2017. Elio A. then held the position of Senior Research & Development Manager until 2022, when they were promoted to Technical Director with a focus on Research & Development.

Elio A. Jimenez obtained an Engineer's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science from the Universidad Central de Las Villas in Santa Clara, Cuba. Elio A. attended the university from 1981 to 1986. Afterward, they pursued further education and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Plant Biotechnology and Breeding, also at the Universidad Central de Las Villas. Elio A. studied at the university from 1991 to 1995.
