Scott Turner has extensive work experience in public health. From 2013, they served as the Director of Environmental Health at the Florida Department of Health in Duval County, overseeing various program areas such as food safety, air quality, and sanitary complaint investigation. In 2015, they took on the role of Director of Emergency Preparedness, managing planning, training, and partnerships with other agencies. Additionally, they briefly served as the Director of Epidemiology during the same period. In 2020, they joined Florida Health as the Director of Epidemiology, concluding their position in 2021.
