Shawn Felton

Shawn Felton is currently the Dean of the Marieb College of Health & Human Services at Florida Gulf Coast University. Prior to this, they were an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University from September 2005 to August 2018. Shawn also worked as the Athletic Training Coordinator/Head Athletic Trainer at Naples Community Hospital from July 2004 to September 2005. Shawn's previous experience also includes working as the Assistant Football Athletic Trainer/Instructor at the University of Louisville Athletics from August 1999 to July 2004.

Shawn Felton earned their Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida, their Master of Education in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville, and their Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia University.

Shawn Felton works with Charles Lindsey - Dean, College of Arts & Sciences, Thomas Roberts - Dean, College of Education, and Aysegul Timur - VP & Vice Provost, Strategy & Program Innovation. Shawn Felton reports to Mark Rieger, EVP & Provost.
