Barbara Lesh

Assistant Community Health Director at Florida Health

Barbara Lesh has over 25 years of experience in community health and program management. Currently serving as the Assistant Community Health Director at the Florida Department of Health since June 2011, Barbara previously held the position of Program Manager at Healthy Families Florida, where engagement focused on child abuse and neglect prevention from April 2007 to June 2011. Between November 2002 and April 2007, Barbara worked as the Quality Assurance Manager for Broward Healthy Start Coalition, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to improving birth outcomes. Earlier in their career, Barbara was the Residential Director at Covenant House Florida, overseeing a homeless shelter for individuals under 21 from January 1988 to February 2001. Barbara holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida International University, a Certificate in Geriatric Care Management from the University of Florida, and a BA in English Literature from the College of Saint Teresa's.
