Cruz Morales has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1986, they served as a Police Officer for the New York City Police Department, where they gained experience in criminal investigations, surveillance, and court testimony. In 1995, they transitioned to a Senior Claims Investigator role at Gallagher Bassett, specializing in conducting investigations related to fraud, theft, and auto accidents.

Cruz then moved on to CNA Insurance, where they worked as a Surveillance Investigations Coordinator, supervising a team of field investigators and overseeing claims investigations. During their time at CNA, they also designed and developed management and payroll forms.

In 2004, Cruz joined Summit Consulting - Liberty Mutual as a Sr. Field Adjuster, working closely with major corporations in Orlando's hospitality, construction, and labor-intensive industries. In their work as an Instructor at Orange County Public Schools' Homeland Security Training Center and as an Adjunct Professor at Valencia College, Cruz shared their expertise with students in the areas of Homeland Security and Insurance.

Cruz was also involved with the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary from 2009 onwards, where they held various positions such as Chief - State Trooper. Cruz was responsible for roles including background investigation, FDLE instructor, and Troop Lieutenant, Captain, and Major.

Most recently, Cruz joined Tower Hill Insurance Group as an SIU Investigator in 2022.

Cruz Morales has a diverse education history in the field of law enforcement. In 1986, they attended the New York City Police Academy (NYPD) and obtained a New York State Certification in Law Enforcement, which they completed in 1991. Following this, in 1994, they attended St. Petersburg Junior College - Criminal Justice Institute in Florida and earned a Florida State Certification in Law Enforcement Equivalency Training. In 2008, Cruz Morales furthered their education by attending Seminole State College - School of Public Safety in Florida and obtained another Florida State Certification, this time in Law Enforcement.
