Sonia Hernandez

Sonia Hernandez, M.S., currently serves as the Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications at Florida International University (FIU) since October 2013. In this role, Sonia is responsible for leading the marketing, branding, and communication efforts for the Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) across various channels. Additionally, Sonia has experience as an instructor in several first-year experience and career exploration courses at FIU. Prior roles include Senior Marketing Manager and Account Manager for Career and Talent Development, where Sonia effectively managed marketing and communication strategies. Previous experience includes web production at Royal Caribbean International and various positions at Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, contributing to operational and marketing success. Sonia earned a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising from FIU, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts.
