The Florida Lottery
Justin Rock has extensive experience in the lottery and sales industries, currently serving as Deputy Secretary of Product, Research and Sales for the State of Florida Lottery since June 2010, overseeing product development and research activities contributing to substantial revenue generation. Previously, Justin held various roles within the Florida Lottery, including Director of Product Development and Research, Product Manager, Field Sales Manager, and Sales Representative. In addition to lottery expertise, Justin operates Rock The Boat Charters, an inshore/offshore fishing and guide business established in February 2013. Prior experience includes working as a Sales Representative for Altman Plants, one of the largest horticultural distributors in the United States. Justin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce and Political Science from Florida State University, completed in 2009.
The Florida Lottery
In 1986, Florida voters authorized a lottery through a constitutional amendment, enacted by a two-to-one margin that would use its proceeds to enhance public education in Florida. Governor Bob Martinez and the Florida Legislature established the Florida Lottery with the mission of maximizing revenues for education to allow the people of Florida to benefit from significant additional monies while providing the best lottery games available. Over the history of the Florida Lottery, both goals have been accomplished.
