Vena Symonette - Johnson

Vena Symonette - Johnson, Ph.D., currently serves as the Interim Chair of the Department of Aviation and Safety at Florida Memorial University, where leadership is provided in one of the nation's historically Black universities. With extensive experience in aeronautical sciences, Vena has also held positions such as Professor and Researcher in the same field at Florida Memorial University, and as a Certified Flight Instructor at AV-ED Flight School Inc. Prior experience includes working as a Flight Service Specialist I at Lockheed Martin and developing a successful event planning business. Vena holds a Doctorate in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Atlantic International University, along with dual master’s degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science from Florida Memorial University.
