Alexis Bakofsky

Alexis Bakofsky has a diverse work experience in various communication and public relations roles. Alexis started their career in 2006 as a Neighborhood Services Specialist at the City of Monrovia and worked there until 2011. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Public Relations and Communications Coordinator at the same organization. In 2014, they joined the Florida Department of Transportation as a Public Information Specialist. Alexis then worked at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, first as a Press Secretary from 2015 to 2017, and then as the Deputy Communications Director from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, Alexis has been with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, where they started as the Director of Communications until 2022. Alexis then became the Deputy Chief of Staff and is currently serving as the Chief of Staff.

Alexis Bakofsky earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences, Other from the University of Florida, from the year 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, Alexis pursued a Master's degree in Communication and Leadership at Gonzaga University, which was completed from 2011 to 2013.
