Charles Wu

Charles (Hao) Wu has a diverse work experience with various roles in the IT industry. Charles(Hao) started their career as a Technical Sales Assistant at Huaxing Tongbao Sales&Service Co.,LTD in 2008. Charles(Hao) then worked as a Computer Programmer at Prient Software, Inc from 2009 to 2010, where they were involved in the end-to-end development of a Parts Application. After that, they joined Shaanxi LINGYUN ELECTRONICS GROUP CO., LTD as an IT Programmer from 2010 to 2011, where they gathered and analyzed requirements, designed and developed databases, and generated reports based on business requirements.

In 2013, Charles worked at Marlabs Inc. as a Microsoft BI Developer for nine months before joining NextEra Energy, Inc. in 2014. At NextEra Energy, they served as a Senior IT Business Intelligence Analyst until 2018. In this role, they actively participated in business meetings and requirement gathering sessions, worked as a BI developer in an Agile team, and utilized Power BI tools to visualize data according to business requirements.

From 2018 to the present, Charles has been working at Florida Power & Light as a Principal IT Programmer Analyst. Charles(Hao) has held the role of a Sr IT Programmer Analyst, where they designed and developed AWS infrastructure for AI/ML projects, acted as the business intelligence lead architect for an AI/ML project, and designed the architecture of the ETL process for an Enterprise Data Platform on AWS RDS and Redshift.

Overall, Charles (Hao) Wu has gained experience in various aspects of IT, including programming, business intelligence, data analysis, and project management.

Charles (Hao) Wu began their education journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Optics/Optical Sciences from China Jiliang University in 2007-2011. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology between 2011 and 2013. Charles(Hao) then continued their education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from 2022 to 2024.

In addition to their academic degrees, Charles has also obtained multiple certifications.
