Lisa Edgar serves as a Florida Public Service Commissioner since January 2005, overseeing regulatory functions for various utilities and participating in decision-making processes for cases and rate proceedings. Edgar previously held the position of President for the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners from November 2014 to November 2015, managing the organization’s operations and enhancing utility regulation practices. Earlier roles include Deputy Secretary at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Chief Policy Analyst at the Executive Office of the Florida Governor, and Senior Cabinet Aide at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Edgar's legislative experience encompasses work as Staff Counsel and Legislative Analyst for the Florida Senate and a Legislative Intern for the Florida House of Representatives. Edgar earned a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University.
