Matthew C. Trent MPA, CFO, MIFireE is an accomplished fire service professional with a diverse range of leadership and instructional experience. Since July 2014, Matthew has been the Owner/Instructor of PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT, LLC, focusing on business management, course design, and strategic planning within the fire service context. Matthew holds the position of Assistant Chief at the North Collier Fire Control & Rescue District since February 2021 and serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Florida SouthWestern State College, contributing to the development of future fire service leaders. As an Instructor at the National Fire Academy, Matthew brings valuable insights to fire service training. Previously, as Battalion Chief at Greater Naples Fire Rescue District, Matthew demonstrated expertise in personnel management, budgeting, and organizational development. Matthew's educational background includes ongoing doctoral studies in Public Policy and Administration at Walden University and advanced degrees in Public Administration and Public Safety Administration from Barry University and Florida SouthWestern State College, respectively.
