Laura Tichy-Smith is an experienced educator and writer with a diverse background in English composition and journalism. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of English at Florida SouthWestern State College since August 2017, Laura teaches both in-person and online courses. Freelance work as a copyeditor and reporter for Florida Weekly has resulted in over 175 articles covering local news and community issues. Laura has also contributed to numerous publications and organizations in various capacities, including writing for FGCU 360 and serving as a writing coach, manuscript editor, and grants writer. With advanced degrees in English and Journalism, along with extensive tutoring and editing experience, Laura demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing writing skills and fostering creativity in others.
