Gerard Hogan, DNSc., CRNA, PMHNP-BC, FAANA, is a highly accomplished nursing professional with extensive experience in anesthesia and psychiatric mental health. Currently serving as teaching faculty at Florida State University since January 2020, Gerard also works as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Mayo Clinic. Previous roles include Nurse Anesthetist at Rush University Medical Center, Associate Professor and Program Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Rush University, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Nemours Children's Clinic/Wolfson Children's Hospital. Gerard has held academic positions at the University of North Florida and Florida International University, contributing to the development of nursing programs. Gerard’s leadership experience includes serving as Past President of the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Chief Nurse of the 315th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron in the U.S. Air Force. Presently pursuing a PhD in Nursing Science at Florida State University, Gerard is well-regarded for expertise in both clinical practice and nursing education.
