Valerie Landrio McDevitt

Valerie Landrio McDevitt currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation at Florida State University since December 2023. Prior to this role, Valerie held various positions at AdventHealth, including Executive Director and Senior Director in the Office of Research and Research Services from June 2019 to December 2023. Valerie was also a team member at SEED Florida Early Stage Investment Fund from March 2018 to May 2019, and the Associate Vice President at the University of South Florida from 2001 to May 2019. Earlier in their career, Valerie worked at the American Chemical Society from 1993 to 2010 as a member of the Committee on Chemistry and Public Affairs and served as Assistant Patent Counsel at Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceuticals from 1998 to 2000. Valerie's educational background includes a Doctor of Law (JD) from Emory University School of Law, a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Siena College.
