Machine Learning Engineer at Flow Labs

Wade Genders is a Machine Learning Engineer at Flow Labs since March 2021, with previous experience as a Senior Research Associate and Lab Manager for the Intelligent Transportation Systems Lab at the University of Toronto from September to December 2019. Wade contributed to projects utilizing machine learning and deep learning in transportation. Prior to this, Wade worked as a Software Engineer at Flo AI, where the first version of AI Traffic Signal Control software was developed and field-tested, resulting in significant reductions in travel time and improved traffic flow in collaboration with the Utah Department of Transportation. Wade's early experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at McMaster University, creating content for the Dundas EcoPark campaign. Wade holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and a Master of Applied Science from McMaster University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering & Society from the same institution.
